We recently released the 2025 AWS Compute ESR Benchmark Report, offering rate optimization insights and Effective Savings Rate (ESR) benchmarking data to help FinOps teams quantifiably understand their savings performance relative to industry peers.
Building on the report, we’ve now integrated this benchmarking data directly into the ProsperOps Console. All ProsperOps customers can now view their current and baseline AWS Compute ESR percentiles. As a FinOps automation platform, ProsperOps regularly drives customers to the 95th percentile and beyond.

Effective Savings Rate (ESR) is a FinOps standard metric that measures realized savings from rate optimization activities and commitment-based discounts (e.g., Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, Committed Use Discounts). Unlike input metrics like coverage and utilization, ESR measures overall output savings performance. ESR benchmarks help organizations understand exactly where they stand and how much more savings they could be capturing.
ProsperOps Autonomous Discount Management is designed to maximize ESR over time across AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.
