This year’s ProsperOps keynote at FinOps X marked a new chapter in ProsperOps and Flexera’s evolution.
In the age of AI, organizations no longer optimize simply to save. They optimize to innovate. That means reinvesting savings into new initiatives, whether it be AI-enabled applications, platform modernization, or product expansions.
Funding these initiatives requires automated optimization that takes action to achieve material outcomes.
ProsperOps made three announcements that put this into practice:
- Unified Autonomous Optimization
- ProsperOps+: Outcome-Based Pricing for the Flexera Cloud FinOps Suite
- Autonomous Discount Management Support for AWS Database Savings Plans
Unified Autonomous Optimization
Rate and workload optimization have long been executed by disparate solutions without shared context. When operating independently, these solutions generate outcomes that fall short of what coordination makes possible. Today, that changes.
Unified Autonomous Optimization brings ProsperOps, Elastigroup, and Ocean together under a single brain to optimize rates and workload. While ProsperOps automates commitment management, Elastigroup and Ocean synchronously tackle Kubernetes optimization, virtual machine autoscaling, and spot management.
This capability has already achieved material results for our customers. Duolingo increased the Effective Savings Rate (ESR) for their largest production Kubernetes cluster to 60.8%, and Tealium increased the ESR for their entire cloud estate to 62.4%.
Unified Autonomous Optimization is available today.

ProsperOps+: Outcome-Based Pricing for the Flexera Cloud FinOps Suite
Autonomous optimization products like ProsperOps, Ocean, and Elastigroup have outcome-based pricing models, meaning their cost is a direct function of the outcomes they deliver. ROI is clear, and incentives are aligned. Other important FinOps tools, such as those for cost visibility, typically charge a percentage of spend. Customers using various tools are forced into different pricing models, which obfuscates ROI.
Announcing ProsperOps+, the Flexera cloud FinOps suite with purely outcome-based pricing. ProsperOps+ brings together Unified Autonomous Optimization, cloud cost visibility and governance, and license optimization under a single pricing model tied to optimization outcomes.

Introducing Support for AWS Database Savings Plans (Early Access)
When AWS launched Database Savings Plans in December 2025, we committed to bringing them into Autonomous Discount Management (ADM). Today, that support is available in Early Access.
Database Savings Plans are the fourth and broadest Savings Plan type AWS has shipped, extending discount coverage to multiple database services, including previously un-discountable options like Aurora Serverless, DocumentDB, Neptune, Keyspaces, and Timestream.
Database Savings Plans are powerful, but they come with nuance. They are immutable 1-year No Upfront commitments with discounts that range from 12% to 35% depending on the usage they apply to. Coverage is uneven across services and instance generations, and AWS continues to evolve the program.
Optimizing this manually at scale is impractical.
ADM removes that burden by identifying coverable usage, blending Database Savings Plans with higher-discount Reserved Instances/Nodes, and using Adaptive Laddering™ to stagger commitments so your portfolio adapts as usage shifts.
As AWS expands eligibility, ADM keeps pace automatically, driving a higher Effective Savings Rate while lowering Commitment Lock-in Risk.
We are working with a small group of customers to shape this together before general availability. If you are a current ProsperOps customer, talk to your customer experience advisor or express interest from the Console. New customers can request Early Access here.

What It Means for You
The announcements we made at FinOps X 2026 reflect the needs of today’s changing market landscape. Organizations need sophisticated FinOps optimizations to fund new AI innovations, not simply to save.
Whether you’re looking to drive more savings through Unified Autonomous Optimization, align the value of your FinOps stack with the value delivered via ProsperOps+, or extend commitment management to additional AWS services that have Database Savings Plans, ProsperOps and Flexera are there to help you.
