Teamwork Commerce is a cloud-based omnichannel retail management platform that provides retailers with point-of-sale (POS), order management (OMS), inventory control, CRM, and analytics all within a single, unified platform. Their software provides global order management and fulfillment to retailers in over 30 countries.
Challenge
Managing cloud infrastructure on behalf of their customers is a critical part of their business, but rising compute costs posed a growing concern. With many retailers operating on tight margins and requiring constant uptime, cutting costs without compromising performance or engineering flexibility became a top priority.
Solution
The FinOps team at Teamwork Commerce implemented ProsperOps’ Autonomous Discount Management (ADM) for Google Cloud Compute. This fully autonomous solution monitors compute usage from GKE workloads and dynamically optimizes spend-based and resource-based Committed Use Discounts (CUDs). Within months, Teamwork Commerce increased its ESR from 25.6% to 33.4% and reduced Commitment Lock-In Risk, enabling them to safely increase coverage without disruption to engineering operations or workloads.
